After a very unfortunate mic malfunction, the curtains go down after 15 minutes. Here we go. Opening night. A rumble erupts in the audience of Jason Manford and Phil Jupitus fans disgruntled by the sudden disruption. Luckily when the curtains finally go back up we are subjected to a night of glitz, glamour and toe curling political incorrectness. The beauty of the musical is unfortunately slightly undermind by Manford’s obvious nerves but a pleasant watch none the less.
Not a show stopper but definitely a good laugh if you’re looking for something to brighten up your week. Worth a £20 ticket but not a £40.
