I’m getting a bit tired of the whole pulled pork, meat with extra meat food trend that seems to still be going strong in Leeds. With the opening of True Red’s and Nando’s in Headingley, I’m inclined to find something different. I found out about Bundobust during a vegan festival at Wharf Chambers circa Summer 2014 when they were still trying to find a unit as a small street food business and how far they have come since then!
Now a bustling restaurant, Bundobust fuses Indian street food with Leed’s love of craft beer and it is everything. Filled with little vegetarian pots of gold, you’ll definitely find something you like in this menu. Ultimate favourite is the Bundo Chaat – Samosa pastry, chickpeas, potato, tamarind chutney, yoghurt & turmeric noodles and if you’re looking for a feast, try their “everything on the menu” option that 10 of you will happily nibble on. It’s a light, vibrant and a refreshing take on our traditional overly salty British-Indian curry houses. Make sure you check out this cheap eatery when you’re in the city centre!
