Ok yes this is ADVERTISED at children but don’t be fooled, this is destined to send even the Scroogiest of dads off into a glittery winter wonderland of happiness. This is the first staged Moomin experience and is not one to be missed.

If you’re suffering from SAD, then this musical set in the hot summers of New York. Capturing the multi-ethnicity of the city in a 24 hour snapshot, this is sure to melt away the snow from your boots.
HOME, Haxan, 11 & 13 December
For those who think the Halloween festivities are too short, HOME are screening Haxan: Witchcraft through the ages, accompanied by a live electronic score by Josephine Oniyama. This cult silent film will take you far away from the chaos of the Christmas markets just down the street.
Contact Theatre, How to Be Better, 16-19 December
If you’re already planning your NY resolutions, you should probably go see this show at Contact. CYC have been selling out shows this year with The Shrine of Everyday Things and Under the Covers which was commissioned for a second run.
CFCCA, SOUP 15, 18-20 December
Manchester based Soup Collective is celebrating 15 years of cross platform collaboration of art, music and film. CFCCA puts together a small snapshot of their projects and outputs that show their diversity and innovation. Preview on 17th.
